Let’s be honest.
This past winter was ROUGH. The days were so cold you could feel it in your bones and the snow seemed to be never ending. (Can you tell that i’m not a winter person?) But we made it! It is officially SPRING! Soon tulips will line garden beds, the chirp of the birds will grow louder, and the days will get longer.
So when a good friend of mine, Liz, reached out to collaborate for a spring styled shoot, I of course said HELL YES! What better way to shake off those winter blues then with fresh florals, soft pastels and getting together with an awesome group of women!? We had such a fun day collaborating and getting to know one another. Seeing everyone come together and work on their craft so diligently and with such passion left me feeling inspired!
Dana from Water’s Edge Event Centre housed this project in the beautiful “White Room”. The space is adorned with tall windows, exposed ceilings and beautiful iron chandeliers (which we took full advantage of)! Kaleigh from Petals Floral Design, worked her magic and dressed the space with fresh blooms, greenery and created beautiful bouquets. Rosemary from Soirée Event Extraordinaire crafted a beautiful tablescape using beautiful custom dyed linens. Laura from Sweetbay Cakes created a cake masterpiece and adorable (and DELICIOUS) macarons. A beautiful hand lettered sign was created for this shoot by Dayna from The Chalk Shoppe. Her lettering talent is out of this world! And of course, the woman who brought this group of ladies together, Elizabeth Bassett, used her makeup artistry skills to make our models look and feel 100! Special thanks to our amazing models who are beautiful inside & out: Melanie O’Brien, Alison Alleyn and Andrea Loubert.
